I would describe my current self as a small-town, farm girl... gone city. While I still carry the traits of a classic, hard working "farm kid," my style and design tastes took off to the big city. With a background in wedding and corporate/private event planning, and having been a part of the hospitality industry for a number of years, I decided to pursue my dreams and open 'Sota Weddings & Events soon after I was married, which happened to be in the midst of a global pandemic. Now more than ever, everyone could use a little extra help in making their event/dream wedding come to life... That's where I come in, and there's nothing I love more than seeing visions become reality! In my spare time, you can find me hanging with my hubby/family/friends and/or kids, at hockey events, thrift shopping, or "back home" on the farm.
